I’ve been amazed by the number of avon commercials I’ve been seeing lately on tv then it dawned on me that with so many people out of work due to layoffs, cutbacks and the overall worsening of the economy that many people needed extra money.  I was shocked when me daughter came over the other day and had a bunch of catalogues and was trying to sell makeup.  I thought it was interesting that she wasn’t selling avon but instead a new line of makeup called Mark.  I hadn’t realized that Avon was trying to get a fresh start and make a more modern avon lady with the introduction of this new product.  Looking through the items offered for sale I noticed it was geared towards a younger, hip and fashion conscious crowd of people wanting to buy Mark makeup.  They had tons of different product offerings that were quite a bit different than the old avon lady items your mom used to buy.  Becoming a mark makeup sales rep is very similar to being an avon lady.  You can hand out free skin care samples, hold parties, pass out catalogues or utilize the internet to sell this new line of avon products.  Now I’ve never been one that was big on being a sales rep myself but for my daughter who is in college this seems to be an good way to make a little extra cash on the side.  If you happen to be interested in becoming a mark sales repfeel free to email her from her site and I’m sure she can give you a few pointers to help you get started in your new avon career.

Today in this environment of layoffs, cutback and poor economic conditions pointing your kids in the right direction for a career choice is essential.  Too many kids go into college without a clue as to what they want to do for a living.  Today on msnbc.com I read an article about the 15 top paying jobs and guess what all of them were in the medical field except two.   Air traffic controller and CEO were the only ones not related to the medical profession that was listed.  Most jobs listed were for doctors or dentists in various specialty fields.  With the average age of the  population of the united states getting older the medical field is going to definately be the wave of the future.  My daughter enrolled in an Indiana nursing school and already has a job in the medical field as a technician where here tuition is paid for until she gets her nursing degree.  Not only will she have a high paying career as a nurse when she gets out but she will not have any student loans to pay back. You will be suprised how many companies in the medical field are paying partial or full tuition for nursing students or those seeking degree in the medical field
